5 Ways You Can Help Other Bloggers

Here are five ways that you can help out other bloggers. However, this list is for tips that will help the other blogger without any detriment to yourself. If you did stuff such as linking from your site then there is really no way of knowing if it is going to negatively affect your blog SEO. After all, if it did not, then why are the owners of high PageRank blogs so unwilling to link to sites of a low PageRank? Here are five tips you can try in order to help out other bloggers.

1 - Comment on their Crap and Don’t Criticize their Cool

Place comments on their articles and posts that are not very good. You can do this because few other people are going to comment on a post that is not very good. You can constructively criticize their blog post if you wish, but try to make your comment engaging enough so that other people want to comment on it too.

Do not post any form of constructive criticism on their good blog posts. Only be positive about their good blog posts. Do not tell them anything bad because it may cause others to follow suit. Just mention about how correct they are or how they have changed your mind on something.

2 - Share their Stuff and Like it too

You can do this on your social media sites by pressing their “share” button on their blog and sharing it around. You only need to do this sort of thing once. Do not go doing it every week or every month, because you will start to compromise your ability to promote your own blog.

YouTube, Google+ and Facebook have a “Like” function. This allows you to click a small widget and it logs your “Like” on that particular social media site. These likes do not have much search engine optimization power. But, they do have a little bit, and every little helps. You could do worse than liking their Facebook Fan page too, as this will also help their web SEO (Search Engine Optimization) a little.

3 - Consider asking them for a Reciprocal( Backlink) link

A reciprocal link is going to help you as much as you help them. You both link to each other from relevant pages so that it has a fair amount of search engine optimization value. The link will be maintained because you will also post a link on your blog. The other blogger will maintain your link because he/she knows that if he/she removes it, then you will remove their link from your blog.
Reciprocal links are not bad things unless you do it too much. They are actually a very good thing if you do not advertise the fact that you are doing it. If you are contacting the other blogger via email or social media site, instead of over their own commenting system, then you should be okay. Never advertise your will to swap links over your blog, as it may result in your blog being punished by Google, as it is a form of link soliciting (which is bad).

4 - Upload a Guest Post to their Blog

Guest blogging is a good way to get a link pointed at your website. All you need to do is send a request to upload a guest blog. You give them a proposal about what you are going to blog about and where you are going to link to. They say yes, you write the blog post, they load it onto their site, and you both benefit. You get the benefit of a link coming from their blog, and they get the benefit of having some new content for the search engines to read (and their blog viewers to read too).

5 - Strike a Deal to Reciprocally Promote Each Other

This is where you and the other blogger tell each other where you are going to promote their blog. You may agree to link to each other on social media, to share each other’s blog posts, to mention the blog on your next Tweet, etc.
This is a deal you should strike, but be wary of promoting each other on your own blogs. You do not really want your viewers running off and joining the other bloggers blog and then forgetting about yours. You should also make sure that your reciprocal promoting deal is only for a short period of time. A long term deal will damage you more than it helps you.
